With Summer around the corner, I wanted to share with you a delicious smoothie recipe which I LOVE!
It's pretty simple, pretty easy, but let me tell you, for someone who struggles to eat fruit on the regular, anything that can help that is a bonus. I love the sweet tangy taste of berries, especially strawberries and blueberries.
Combine the berries with a really nice non-dairy milk, I prefer oat or almond milk with this recipe and this Berry Whey Protein Powder from Happy Way and voila!
I like to play around with it a bit to change the flavour and texture. I usually add a small banana to thicken it up and give it a heavier texture.
3 - 4 strawberries
10 - 12 blueberries
1 small banana
200 ml almond milk
1 tablespoon Berry Whey Protein Powder (Tip: try Happy Way's Vegan Vanilla Powder instead!)
Add all the ingredients together in a blender, add a couple of small cubes of ice and serve! (With a reusable straw!)
